Family Lamb lived over the road form Laurie and his family right through my childhood and together with my sister Kate played frequently with Judy and Ruth, being of similar ages

On special occasions such as Christmas we would have gatherings of the two families....often with grandparents in tow....at one or other of the houses

I particularly recall bonfire night in the Allen's garden, which was twice the size of ours, with what seemed a gigantic fire and out of this world fireworks

Happy times and good memories 

So pleased I got to see Laurie again, a year or so back, and find him content, still in the family home and quoting something in Greek
