I have many happy memories of joint Allen/Bradon family holidays. I remember exploring Epping forest and the beaches near Liverpool in Crosby and , this is photo, New Brighton.

Laurie was always kind and interested in everything. which I think he kept to the end. Laurie and Kitty put me up when I moved to my first job in London which was immensely kind. I liked the fact that they lived simply (no flashy cars, etc) but had a rich intellectual life. 

We will miss Laurie's kindness and great sense of humour.
